Community Service

In the gospel of Matthew, we read, “Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many.”

At Providence Academy we seek to instill in the hearts and minds of our students a desire to serve, encourage and love one another.  Community Service is an opportunity for our students to look beyond the walls of Providence as we seek to make a difference in our community and beyond.

Students are required to complete a minimum of 36 hours of community service during their middle school years.  And, they are also to submit written forms describing the work performed, how it helped the organization and what they learned personally by serving.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1Peter 4:10
